I now place the trees. I re dampen the left hand sides of the trees to keep a soft edge and the original wash. I then add the shadow sides, trying to keep the wash as linked as possible. I paint the trunks straight into their shadows/

Hi Peter,

I find your demonstrations and explanations very helpful. The way you break the painting process into 3 wash stages gives the process structure and provides a sense of what should be accomplished at each stage. Thanks for sharing.
