  • An opportunity to spend five days improving your painting drawing and compositional skills with Royal Society Of Marine Artists Member Peter Cronin. All aspects of picture making will be dealt with and the objectives of the course will be to
    Contemplate and critique our current work (so bring examples of existing work)
    Identify areas of weakness and suggest routes to progress
    Produce new work of superior quality and expression.

    All the above will be facilitated by a hands on teaching approach with individual guidance and demonstrations of given techniques as the need arises.

    The course will contain lots of information and advice including
    Studio and outdoor set up,
    Composition and how to use it,
    Drawing and painting technique,
    The use of tone and edges,
    Shorthand advice for boats people and sheep etc.

    The intention is to work in natures studio, the great out doors, as the weather permits and we shall be using pencil, pen and wash, and of course pure clean watercolour.
    23rd to 27th July Cost £260
    The course includes five days tuition from 10am till 4pm, refreshments, and a home made lunch each day.
